Shallow Mounted Bollard
These shallow mounted bollards are of static type, namely non-removable. There have been major developments in the design of bollards that do not need deep foundations and this product is now considered the best on the market as surprisingly it only has a depth of 150mm and is compliant with PAS68 and ASTM testing standards with an 80km (50mph) impact speed.
| Use: | Static bollards of non-removable, non-lowering type are widely specified by security advisers to prevent vehicles, which may contain explosive devices, parking close to areas of vital importance such as embassies, ministries, IT centres, research laboratories. Many installations are retro fitting which means shallow foundations are a real requirement due to below ground services. |
| Finish: | Steel core with stainless steel shroud. Alternatively black polyurethane sleeve. All other exposed steel surfaces hot dipped galvanised. |
| Installation: | Bollards are supplied welded to their base plates which are set onto concrete base, maximum 150mm below finished ground level. (see gallery image below) |
| Size: | The bollard height is 1m above ground level and the core diameter 300mm. The bollard is fixed to specially constructed base plate units for concreting into ground. Maximum centres 1.5m. |
